Another highly succesful event. A full house at Old Gala House were entertained and entralled by the short stories of Bernard Maclaverty. There was also a lively and informative question and answer session.
Thanks again to everyone who turned out, and to all those who helped on the night. Also to the Arts Service SBC for contributing to the cost of the event.

HELEN FARISH EVENT.
Saturday, the 4th November, saw the Borders Writers Forum welcome one of the most highly regarded poets writing today, Helen Farish.To a well attended and highly appreciative audience at the County Hotel, Selkirk, Helen read from her award winning collection, Intimates, as well as other work. The audience certainly appreciated her entertaining and informative reading. This was reflected in the quality and quantity of questions that followed in the question and answer session.There was also a lively and well subscribed Open Mic slot where local poets, including BWF members, read. The Borders Writers Forum would like to thank the management and staff at the County Hotel for all their help in making this a very successful event. Also acknowledgment is due to Arts development, Scottish Borders Council for their support.
